Scuba Lessons, there was evidence that Kelly and Dan had previously date. What evidence from the play makes you think that they will or will not make it in this budding relationship.

I think that you can tell the Kelly and Dan had previously dated by how she would describe him. When you describe just a friend of yours you dont really just point out the annoying habits that they have. They both are on two separate dates but Kelly does everything to somehow interact with Dan. When she is on her date with Martin she goes and ignores him and focuses on the computer that Dan is making to Rayne. I think that those flaws that she points out are not something that although bothers her it really attracts her to him. Kelly then begins to sabotage Dan's date while totally ignoring her own date. Then they reach the part of the date where Rayne and Martin both realize that Dan and Kelly knew each other the whole time. This was not what Kelly wanted to happen but due to the fact that Rayne and Martin found out they left. This however was what Kelly wanted, she didnt want Dan to be with Rayne in any way and when she saw that they were starting to get along she couldnt handle it. This was just what needed to happen to put Dan and Kelly in the position to share their true feelings for each other. In the end of the play when she realizes that the "take me out to the ball game" song has music notes in it she really sees that she is meant to be with Dan.
