2. Analyze Dr. Stockmann's motivation in revealing the truth about the polluted springs. Selfish or unselfish motives? Explain.

I believe that Dr. Stockman’s motivations were unselfish because as leader I believe he did the right thing in keeping it a secret until he knew more about the pollution. I f he would told the town right away without knowing more about it he could have caused panic. As a doctor he does care about the town’s health and didn’t want to say anything until he knew more about the pollution.

  1. I thought your post was fantastic. The words you used flowed gracefully with the core of your response. You explained your explanation very well and I couldn't agree more with your opinion. One suggestion that I could make would be for you to increase your word count a bit. Despite the information you provided, there was plenty more that you could do. Other than that, you did a great job. Keep up the good work. Good luck.

  2. You have a great point as you related the leader to his duties in waiting to panic the public. I do think that next time you need to follow the directions a little bit better including the word count and title setup. Overall though, excellent idea!!

  3. I agree with you because he also was a well-known figure in the community and it would be selfish not to let the people know as soon as he knew the dangers. Don't forget to add your name and which blog post next time, other than that good job =]

  4. I like how you emphasized how he didn't jump to conclusions about the springs and did some research about them first. Other than keeping his findings secret until they were confirmed, what (if any) were other reasons why he was unselfish?

  5. Jessica,
Next time label your blog post ( Jessica blog post 1 Act 2 an enemy of the people). Good assertion but you need support from the text otherwise you have nothing to back up your claim
