A famous whistleblower that I have chosen would have to be the famous Linda Tripp case. She was the one who allegedly spread that Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton were having an affair. She was a member of the George H. W. Bush administration when he was in office and still kept her job after Bill Clinton was elected into office in 1993. While at work, Tripp became close friends with Lewinsky. Monica had come to her after she and Clinton had seen each other. Tripp then told the news press about the affair in hopes of fame. Due to the leaking out of this important information, Bill Clinton was forced to resign from office. Compared to Dr. Stockmann both whistlers in this case leaked out information to the public. When each situation was presented to the public, the issues were not taken very lightly. Both Clinton and Dr. Stockmann were criticized and judged upon their actions in a negative way. The only differences between the two were in the case of Dr. Stockmann, he had important information of the springs in town that potentially was causing the towns people to become ill. In the Linda Tripp incident, she had information of a love affair of two people in public office Bill Clinton (previous President) and Monica Lewinsky.
