Sean Blog Post 4 "It Came By Night"

ANNOUNCER: Good Evening. It's that time again for 5 Minutes of Horror the radio show that will chill your soul and rattle your minds. Sit back and don't relax.





MUSIC: EERIE THEME





ANNOUNCER: THEY CAME BY NIGHT! Designed to free you from the four walls of today for 5 minutes of horror!





MUSIC: INTRO MUSIC





SOUND: COFFEE CUPS CLINKING, NEWSPAPERS RUSTLING...





NARRATOR: Matt is sitting on the sofa poking at the dwindling fire and carrying on a conversation with Jessica who is in the kitchen preparing tea for the two of them.





MATT: Make sure you put extra sugar in my tea babe.





JESSICA: I know I know





NARRATOR: Jessica walks into the living room, dims the lights and lights the the candles on the mantle of the fire place. The light from the fire and the candles make the shadow of the furniture around the living room eerily dance on the walls.





MATT: Come over here and sit with me.





NARRATOR: Jessica walks over to the sofa and has a seat next to Matt.





SOUND: A breaking branch coming from outside.





JESSICA: Matt! Did you hear that? I think there is somebody outside.





MATT: It's probably just the wind. It'll be fine.





NARRATOR: Matt puts his arm around her and she hides her head in his shoulder.





SOUND: Fire popping.





SOUND: Knock on the door.





NARRATOR: Jessica jumps. Matt laughs and gets up to see who is there. He opens the door to find no one there.





MUSIC: DUN DUN DUN





SOUND: Silence.





JESSICA: Matt? Who is it?





MATT: Um... I'll be right back





JESSICA: Matt no! Don't leave me here I'm scared.





NARRATOR: Matt puts his coat on and grabs a flashlight. He slowly walks down the the front steps while letting the flashlight lead his way. Matt turns around quickly just in time to see a shadow figure with a sharp object running across the lawn to the front door. Matt takes off after it.





MUSIC: Fast music for chase scene.





NARRATOR: They are running across the lawn when Matt suddenly falls. And catches a glimps of the shadowy figure running up the front steps.





MATT: JESICCAAAA!! NOOOooo..





SOUND: Screams!
